Introduction
AIVault is an independent directory that helps people discover useful AI tools across categories like writing, design, coding, research, video, and more. We aim to keep the directory simple, fast, and easy to browse — and to be transparent about the small amount of information we handle when you interact with the site.
Information We Collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
- Submission details. When you submit an AI tool through our submission form, you provide your name and email address along with information about the tool (name, website, category, description, pricing). The form itself is handled by Formspree, which receives and forwards these submissions to us by email.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure may record standard request information such as browser type, device, approximate location derived from IP, referring URL, and pages visited. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which categories are popular.
How We Use Information
- To review and respond to tool submissions sent through the form.
- To reply to questions, feedback, or inquiries you send us.
- To improve the directory — for example, by understanding which categories and tools visitors find most useful.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Third-Party Services
AIVault relies on a small number of third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Formspree — handles delivery of the tool submission form.
- Google — we use Google's public favicon service to display tool logos and icons in the directory.
- Gumroad — processes payments for paid placements such as Featured and Sponsored listings. Payment details are entered on Gumroad's hosted checkout; we never see or store full card data.
- PayPal — used by Gumroad to send AIVault its payouts for paid listings.
- Google Analytics — measures site traffic, such as which pages and categories are viewed, only if you accept cookies via our cookie banner.
- Affiliate partners — some links to AI tools on AIVault are affiliate links operated by the tool providers or affiliate networks they use.
Affiliate Disclosure
AIVault may earn a commission when visitors click certain links to AI tools and sign up or make a purchase. This is at no extra cost to you, and it never affects whether a tool is listed or how it is described. Listings are based on what we believe is genuinely useful to readers.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic — for example, which pages and categories visitors view most. This sets cookies in your browser. When you first visit AIVault, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline this. Analytics cookies are only set if you Accept; if you Decline, no tracking cookies are set, and the site works exactly the same either way.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will show the banner again on your next visit. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles Analytics data.
Children's Privacy
AIVault is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You can contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to ask us to delete it. Because we collect so little, deletion is usually a matter of removing your submission email and any related correspondence.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, the tools we use, or applicable laws. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
